Peer Review
Procedure for the Selection and Peer Review of Authors’ Research Articles for Publication in the Scientific Professional Journal “Bulletin of Mariupol State University”
To ensure the appropriate professional and academic standard of publications in the journal “Bulletin of Mariupol State University” (hereinafter referred to as the Bulletin), the Editorial Board reviews articles, prepares them for publication, and publishes them in the following sequence:
- Verification of compliance with the article formatting requirements includes determining whether the manuscript meets the technical formatting requirements established by the Editorial Board of the Bulletin.
- The preliminary review of the article manuscript is carried out by the Scientific Secretary of the journal and, upon a positive assessment, the manuscript is submitted for anonymous peer review to an expert or a group of experts within the specified period (5–21 days).
- Following the peer review of the scholarly content of the article manuscript, an expert assessment is prepared in the prescribed form and submitted to the Responsible Editor of the journal for consideration.
- If a positive expert assessment has been received and the article manuscript complies with the formatting requirements, the Editorial Board decides whether to include the publication in the next issue of the journal. The author is informed of the decision.
- If the article manuscript does not comply with the formatting requirements and/or the expert assessment contains comments, the Editorial Board returns the submitted article for revision.
- The next issue of the journal is compiled from the reviewed and verified articles and is approved for publication by decision of the Editorial Board of the journal.
