Анотація

The article analyzes in a holistic way the model of comparative studies developed by the Ukrainian emigre community in the 1930s–1980s. The concepts, views, and methodological approaches implemented in the works of Ukrainian scholars-emigrants (J. Bojko-Blokhyn, M. Hnatyshak, M. Hlobenko, S. Hordynsky, V. Derzhavyn, I. Kaczurovskyj, I. Mirchuk, D. Chizhevsky, Y. Sherekh, and others) are systematized. The author traces the evolution and functions of comparative studies of the Ukrainian emigre scholars of this period, outlines the vectors of these studies, and characterizes trends and problems of the emigration comparative paradigm. The interdisciplinary nature of the works of the emigre scholars is revealed, with access to the fields of philosophy, ethnopsychology and anthropology, which determines the attention to genetic contactology and typology and the desire to develop intertextual and intermedial studies.

Conclusion about the model of comparative studies of the Ukrainian emigre community of this period as a holistic phenomenon is substantiated. The author proves that the views of the emigre scholars, who preserved national traditions, ensured continuous development of Ukrainian comparative literature, and enriched its methodological tools — remain relevant until now, outline the field's prospects, and promote new scientific research in the global academic space. The study applies achievements of the methodology of historical and comparative analysis and methodology of cultural-historical and receptive-historical schools.
